Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. (PWLS) is the only national youth sports organization in America that requires its participants to perform adequately in the classroom before permitting them to play. We believe that the standards we have set give these children a sense of responsibility and an appreciation for academics and athletics that will help them develop later on in life.

In 2009-2010, over 400,000 student athletes participated in Pop Warner. Each year only 35 football and 35 cheerleaders receive National Level First-Team Recognition. Our very own Ali Payan received this honor for her outstanding academic achievements. Over $109,000 in scholarship money was awarded to the 70 top scholar-athletes from around the country. Ali received a portion of this towards her college career. Miss Payan is the only scholar athlete from the Deltona area to ever hold this coveted position and be apart of the elite, top 70, of the nation. We are PROUD of her!
